Montel, is a brand of organic wines from the Douro region, Portugal. The vienyard is certified for the organic production of grapes from the bottle, which enhances all its unique characteristics and unique profile, combined with an average altitude of 650 meters giving rise to wines with a strong acidity.
We were asked to design the new labels for Montel bottles, since the brand needed to assert itself in the organic wine market and give more strength to this characteristic through the new image.
For each bottle we design a bird that is on top of a wine strain, enhancing the organic textures and shapes. To add even more strength and depth to this image, we highlight the letter "O" foreground with a strong and vibrant color, which offers the composition contrast and strength.
In this way, we create a unique and memorable identity for the brand. We did not want this new image to become too heavy or traditional, but to bring freshness and some modernity, without forgetting the origins and values of the brand.
The result is a balance between typography and illustration, which captures our attention quickly.
